A Lady writing to a friend, asks, have you read that unpretending, but really beautiful volume, “SWEET HOME?” I have just been reading it with great interest. Many of the pieces were to me worth more than the price of the work. ‘The Two Homes‘, by Arthur, contains a lesson for every household. The ‘Crushed Bud‘, by Mrs. Guthrie, brought to my mind many scenes of my own childhood; and ‘There Came an Angel to my Home,’ by Mrs. Arey, is peculiarly sweet and touching to me, as you will readily understand that it must be, by reading it. How truly she says:
‘She sees no shadows round the tomb,
Who has a child in Heaven.’
