Damaged but still beautiful “Pregnancy Model” from Health Knowledge, a two volume set of books about popular medicine from 1928. Plate descriptions are taken from the text.

Plate 10 – The end of the pregnancy in multipara, with the uterus relaxed. The back of the child is to the right and posterior (R. O. P.). The head is engaged in the pelvis. Plate 11 – Sagittal section of the uterus, showing a head presentation in the period of dilation during a contraction. The back of the child is forward and to the left. The cervical canal becomes opened up from within outwards during a pain; the bag of waters is projecting into the canal.
